I've been MIA

Hey everyone! Sorry that I have been MIA. I promise that it's for a good reason. We have been extra busy these past 5 months with lots of fun pictures. AND I am working hard on a brand new website for you all to enjoy! Keep checking back to see when it will launch! The plan is to launch in the month of June, so be psyched!!

Here is my favorite picture from our nephew's 1 year photo session. LOVE his blue eyes.

Becky & Allen Wedding

One of the things that makes wedding photography so much fun is visiting all types of different and unique venues. Becky and Allen chose the Minnesota Zoo for their ceremony and reception. What a fun experience!

As the ladies were getting ready, Becky and Allen's adorable daughter Campbelle entertained herself by blowing bubbles in the bathroom. She ran around chasing them and grabbing for them. She was just so excited!

The ceremony took place at the beginning of the Tropics Trail. Beforehand we split up–Troy with the guys and me with the ladies–and ventured through the Tropics Trail to get some fun shots. Becky and Allen didn't want to see each other before the ceremony, so each group had a walkie talkie so we could coordinate Becky's escape from the trail without Allen seeing her.

More challenging than keeping the bride and groom apart was the fact that the Zoo relies on sunlight to light the Trail. By the time the ceremony started the sun had completely set. Despite the fact that the Trail was bathed in darkness and there were barely any options for bouncing flash, we were able to get some beautiful photographs of Becky and Allen.

Becky and Allen, we have had so much fun getting to know you both! You are a great couple with wonderful children. Best of luck to you and your family. Thank you so much for including us!

Thao & Mark Wedding

Thao & Mark could not have asked for a more beautiful day for their wedding. It had rained the night before, but for the most part all the puddles had dried up and the sun was shining!

I love how we took their engagement pictures at the same park where they ended up getting married. It was fun to go to some of the same spots for their wedding pictures. The group was a ton of fun to be with, which made the day even that more enjoyable. Thao's siblings are great at jumping for group pictures! They did a great job for their family portraits and did not disappoint at her wedding. I love all the silly shots that we were able to get, my favorite being the one where Mark is showing off his wedding ring to the ladies (see below).

We LOVED working with you both and look forward to many more portrait sessions in the future! Congrats again, Thao & Mark!

Madelinn Tipler Senior Portraits

Madelinn was a joy to photograph! She hardly needed any direction with poses, definitely a natural in front of the camera (she watches "America's Top Model" which seemed to be the key).

Take a look at some of the beautiful shots we captured of Madelinn.

Ashley & Eric Wedding

What a fun couple Ashley and Eric are! From the first time we met this couple we knew their wedding would be a blast.

Ashley and I kept in touch from our meeting up until their wedding. I loved getting emails from her. They always brightened my day.

The wedding was outdoors and we were blessed with a beautiful day. We had a little trouble getting from the hotel to the wedding site, as the bus the bridal party rode in was too tall to get underneath a bridge in town, so everyone was shuttled over in different cars. Once we were finished with pictures at the golf course, we went downtown to capture some great shots. Below are some of my favorites from the day.

Ashley and Eric, we had such a great time photographing your day. Thanks for inviting us to be a part of it. We wish you the best of luck in your marriage, and your future. Enjoy!

Kristin & Neil Wedding

What a beautiful day Kristin and Neil had! The sun was shining and there was barely a cloud in the sky. It was a perfect Minnesota summer day.

Kristin and Neil were married in a tiny church in Fairbault, Minn. I loved seeing the old woodwork and all the stained glass. It had so much character. The only problem with photographing in an older church is that there isn't very much room to get around! We made it work though and got a lot of great pictures.

We wish you the best of luck Kristin and Neil! Thanks again for including us in your special day.
